Plot Overview and Character Breakdown

When young Alice finds herself in a strange world where everything seems upside down, she must find her way home…and find herself along the way. As she travels through Wonderland, she encounters all of the iconic characters that audiences have come to love: including the ever-tardy White Rabbit, the grinning Cheshire Cat, a cool Caterpillar, the wacky Mad Hatter, and the hot-tempered Queen of Hearts.

Audition Requirements:
Once you have signed up to audition, an information packet and a link to the audition materials will be emailed to you. Please be aware that the email that you register under is the one that will receive access to the google drive. Please complete the audition form and the conflict sheet from the packet and bring with you to auditions.
Auditionees should check in at the studio at 206 Plum Street. Choose one song and one side to present at the audition from the audition materials provided to you. We will be singing from the tracks provided in the audition materials. You will also learn a short dance routine (in small groups) and present it to us. Wear comfortable clothes to dance in and bring your dance shoes or sneakers. Be prepared to stay until your dance audition is completed.
If you cannot make the audition days, video auditions will be accepted. Email videos to monriverarts@gmail.com no later than 3:30pm Saturday April 18. You should read one side, and sing one selection. If you plan to send a video, please email us directly so that we can send you the audition materials.

Plot Overview
​
An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!

Audition Requirements:
Auditions open to performers aged 13-18. Performers must be 13 by their audition date in order to audition for this show. We will not make exceptions to this.
